Hi everyone! I wanted to get a quick post out this evening letting y’all know about an interview I recently did.
The Home Hour is a podcast that I know you will love. It’s about DIY, design, and everything home…basically if you enjoy my blog then this podcast is right up your alley.
“Join hosts Graham Smith and Kirsten Dunlap two moms on a mission to help others create elegant, livable, welcoming homes. Real moms, real families, real budgets, real homes. Join them as they interview experts, tackle specific challenges, and share their homemaking fails and successes.”
The podcast is about half an hour long and we chat about some of Domestic Imperfection’s most popular projects, including butcher block countertops, penny countertop, paper bag flooring, and raising our kitchen cabinets. We also touch on subjects like time vs. money, the new house, and DIYing with kids.
I was a bit nervous at first because a radio interview is very different than a blog post. I can think through what I want to say on a blog post and take as long as I want to write it, but this is fast paced and they warned me that they don’t really edit. I turned out to be really fun though, and I didn’t put my foot in my mouth or accidentally curse or anything. So go check it out!

Anyway, that’s all I have for today. Hope everyone has a fun (and safe!) 4th of July!
